RB Leipzig will be looking to end a decades-long streak at FC Bayern Munich in the last game of the year. The record champions have not lost at the end of the year since November 1987 and have always won their last home game in the Bundesliga in the past eleven years. Leipzig will face Bayern on Friday evening (20:30/DAZN).
"Bayern are characterized by a lot of power and force under Vincent Kompany. They play with determination and have enormous individual quality," said RB coach Marco Rose.
Lead player Xaver Schlager will be in the starting XI for the second time after his long injury lay-off. International David Raum is in the squad and is an option. Playmaker Xavi Simons remains in Leipzig but is not yet fully fit following his syndesmosis tear.
