After Martin Männel, Marvin Stefaniak is also staying in Aue. The third division club is pressing ahead with its plans for the future.

High performer Marvin Stefaniak is staying with FC Erzgebirge Aue for the long term. The third-division soccer club extended the 30-year-old's contract until the end of June 2028, tying down another regular player. The contract with captain and goalkeeper Martin Männel was extended in March.

"Marvin Stefaniak is one of the experienced players in our team and we are very happy to have tied a player of his class to the club and shown him a rewarding perspective. He has now matured into a figure of identification," said sporting director Matthias Heidrich.

Stefaniak at Aue since 2022

Despite the Stefaniak extension, the manager still has a lot of work ahead of him. The contracts of nine other players are currently due to expire in the summer. The only new signing so far is Erik Weinhauer from FC Carl Zeiss Jena.

Stefaniak moved to Aue in 2022 and has played 90 competitive matches for the Veilchen so far. The winger scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists.
