Away defeat for handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau

The handballers of BSV Sachsen Zwickau lost their first away win of the season in the final phase. The charges of coach Norman Rentsch lost their guest game at TSV Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday with 25:26 (12:11) and are stuck in the bottom of the table after the third defeat in the fourth game of the season. Mareike Thomeier (9/4) and Viola Leuchter (6) had the biggest share in the Leverkusen success. For the guests Diana Magnusdottir (6), Ema Hrvatin (6/3) and Nora Jakobsson van Stam (5) scored most goals.

The Zwickauerinnen started courageously and were 5:2 ahead after ten minutes. Also the intermediate spurt of the Leverkusenerinnen on 8:6 (16.) did not bring the guests from the concept, which went to the break again in the lead. After the change of sides, both teams exchanged open blows until 21:21 (51.). Then BSV was ahead 23:21 (53.), but showed nerves in the final phase. With four goals in a row, Leverkusen turned the game around and celebrated a happy victory.
