For the yellow-banned Marco Rose, a coaching duo will take over his duties for this Saturday's Bundesliga match at 1. FC Heidenheim. "Marco Kurth and Alexander Zickler will be on an equal footing on the sidelines for the away game in Heidenheim," RB Leipzig announced on Thursday. Kurth was already in charge of the Saxons for one match in December 2021, when both head coach Jesse Marsch and his assistant Achim Beierlorzer were unable to play due to Covid-19 infections. RB lost 1:2 at Union Berlin. Zickler was also on the touchline in December 2021. The former striker deputized for former BVB coach Rose in Dortmund's 1-1 draw in Bochum.
Rose received his fourth yellow card of the season in stoppage time against VfL Wolfsburg (3-0) and will therefore be suspended on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). The 47-year-old will therefore not be allowed to take his usual place on the touchline. He is also prohibited from having any contact with the team. This period begins 30 minutes before the match and ends 30 minutes after the final whistle. Rose is not allowed inside the stadium. Rose will attend this Friday's press conference as usual.
