The contracts of sports director Ralf Becker and head coach Markus Anfang at third-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden, which expire at the end of the season, will be automatically extended in the event of promotion. This was confirmed by Becker, the sporting director, in an interview with the "Sächsische Zeitung" (Thursday). "My contract ends only maybe. I have a two-year plan here. If we get promoted at the end of the season, then it goes on for me until 2025. That was a very good agreement for those responsible in the supervisory board and for me," said Becker, who had also agreed this performance-based clause with the head coach: "Yes, he has a two-year contract, which is extended in the event of promotion. One can find this regulation critical. However, I am a great friend of it, because our performance can be measured by success."
Dynamo had narrowly missed the promotion in the past season. With four wins from five games, the Elbestädtern managed this time a start after measure. The league leaders must face VfB Lübeck this Saturday (2 p.m.) before taking on current runners-up Erzgebirge Aue in the Saxony derby on Matchday 7.
