The hotel and restaurant association Dehoga Sachsen has a new leader. Jens Dzurny was elected president at the association's delegates' meeting in Chemnitz, according to a statement. The restaurateur has been managing director of the Aposto restaurant in Dresden's old town for seven years. According to the statement, he wants to continue to campaign for tax relief, especially for the reduction of VAT to seven percent for food.
Dzurny's predecessor Axel Hüpkes led the association for eight years. He did not stand for re-election after two terms in office and retired.
