On Thursday afternoon, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service was deployed in the Leipzig district after a magnetic angler found historical World War II munitions.
The 23-year-old informed the police at 1:50 p.m. when he fished for two small objects that he suspected were pieces of ammunition. Emergency services from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service of the Police Administration Office arrived on the scene, secured the incendiary rod bomb and the bazooka head from the Second World War and transported both objects away professionally. Misdemeanour proceedings were initiated against the magnet angler, as he did not have a permit to fish in this body of water.
