The Saxon state parliament has put two long-running topics on the agenda for its topical hour on Thursday (from 9.00 a.m.). At the request of the Greens, renewable energies and the energy transition in the Free State will be discussed. This will be followed by a debate on affordable housing. This was requested by the Left Party. The CDU then wants to use the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz as an opportunity to talk about the connection between culture and society.
In the afternoon, a motion by the AfD is on the agenda, which wants to set up a commission of inquiry to solve municipal financial problems. The commission of experts is to begin its work in April and present a final report two years later. The parliamentary groups are to propose experts for the commission. Due to the strength of its parliamentary group, the AfD can set up such a commission on its own. Various motions from the parliamentary groups complete the parliamentary agenda.
