Minister-President Kretschmer takes stock, followed by long debates in the state parliament. Mammoth program with 24 bills expected.

Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU) will make a government statement on Wednesday (from 9.00 a.m.) on his cabinet's performance in the legislative period that is coming to an end. This will be followed by a debate in parliament.

The state parliament faces a mammoth program on Wednesday and Thursday at the last sessions before the summer break. On Wednesday, sessions are expected to last 17 hours - until the early hours of the next day. On Thursday, the session is scheduled to end after ten hours.

If not all items on the agenda have been completed by then, the MPs will have to sit in on Friday. This is due to 24 bills that the state parliament still has to vote on.
