After a foiled attack on a home for asylum seekers in Brandenburg, a 21-year-old German man has been remanded in custody. A judge has issued an arrest warrant for him, a spokesperson for the Dresden public prosecutor's office said in response to a dpa inquiry. He is suspected of having prepared a crime involving an explosion.
The Saxony State Office of Criminal Investigation had found out about him thanks to an anonymous tip-off. As a result, two properties in the district of Meißen were searched and, among other things, two ball bombs were seized. According to the current status, it is assumed that he was a lone perpetrator.
