In the Erzgebirgskreis district, the ballot papers for the district elections have to be reprinted and distributed. The contracted printing company had produced and distributed unauthorized ballot papers for the election on 9 June, as announced by the district administration office in Annaberg-Buchholz on Tuesday. The district election ballot papers that have been in circulation since last Wednesday are therefore unusable.

The district electoral officer has instructed the municipalities not to use the ballot papers delivered so far for the district election or to send them as postal voting documents, but to destroy them immediately and completely, it added. Delivery of the new ballot papers is to begin this Friday.
