For reasons of secrecy, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution does not disclose all known meeting places of the right-wing scene. However, official figures also show an increase.

The far-right scene in Saxony is expanding its meeting places. Last year, they were able to make use of 36 properties, according to a minor question from Left Party MP Juliane Nagel in the Saxon state parliament. Most of the facilities are permanently available to the right-wing extremists, while others are rented for specific occasions. According to the Ministry of the Interior, two properties are publicly owned. It was not disclosed which ones these are.

Number of properties used by right-wing extremists has risen

According to Nagel, the figure marks a high since a nationwide standardized census was introduced in 2017. "The figure has been rising for years: in 2022 there were 28 relevant properties, in 2023 there were 35. The end of the line has not yet been reached."

The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution has further information that "cannot be disclosed for reasons of confidentiality and data protection", as stated in the Ministry of the Interior's response to the minor inquiry.

Most of the officially listed objects are located in Chemnitz and in the districts of Central Saxony and Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains - five each. There is only no entry in the district of North Saxony.

Left-wing politician calls for consistent action

"It is not enough to register the meeting places. Access to real estate is a key strategy of the far right to consolidate and expand their structures - the responsible authorities must take consistent action against this," explained Nagel. So far, however, this has not been the case. Restrictions on use have only been imposed on three properties.
