Following the injury to Jonas Oehmichen, Dynamo Dresden have reacted on the transfer market. The new player comes from the 2nd division.

Third division soccer club Dynamo Dresden has signed Dominik Kother. The winger comes from second division club Jahn Regensburg, as the Dresden club announced. Dynamo did not disclose the amount of the transfer fee at the time of the announcement. The 24-year-old Kother will fly to the training camp in Turkey and is the second new winter signing after Andi Hoti, who is on loan from 1. FC Magdeburg.

Kother's signing is also a reaction to the injury to Jonas Oehmichen. The left winger will be out for several months following shoulder surgery. Kother has played 14 games for Regensburg in the current second division season, starting 12 matches.

"We are delighted that Dominik is now with us. Despite his young age, he has already played a large number of second and third division games and was able to impressively demonstrate his potential as one of the top scorers in the league, especially last season in Regensburg," said sporting director Thomas Brendel. Kother is a type of player "who gives our game a different character once again."
