FC Erzgebirge Aue confirmed its strong form in the East derby against Halleschen FC and remains unbeaten. The Violets won 3-1 (0-1) in front of 13,654 fans on Sunday and thus remain the first chaser of leaders Dynamo Dresden, who they face on the next matchday. Dominic Baumann (25th minute) brought the HFC in the lead, before Steffen Meuer (62nd), Joshua Schwirten (79th) and Marcel Bär (90.+7) turned the game.

Halle took the lead after the FCE goalkeeper Martin Männel had made a momentous mistake. The guests looked more resourceful throughout the first half, so the break lead did justice to the game. The hosts looked uninspired in the second half as well, prompting head coach Pavel Dotchev to make a triple change and bring on Marvin Stefaniak, Meuer and Maximilian Thiel. It took just 61 seconds for the Jokers to make an impact. Meuer scored after a corner from Stefaniak. Schwirten came on after 77 minutes and scored just 124 seconds later to take the lead. Bär also scored in stoppage time.
