The team from Saxony let the game slip from their grasp early on in Bensheim and have now been waiting more than six weeks for a winning result.

The BSV Sachsen Zwickau women's handball team went without a win for the fifth game in a row. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges lost by a clear 29:36 (13:20) at sixth-placed HSG Bensheim/Auerbach. The team from Saxony last won at home against bottom-placed Bayer Leverkusen by 27:26 on January 29.

Jule Polsz, Lucie-Marie Kretzschmar (7 each), Nina Engel (5) and Kim Irion (5/3) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. Deborah Kpodar and Arwen Gorb (6 each) scored the most goals for Zwickau.

The underdogs were only able to keep the game evenly poised in the opening spell. HSG then took the initiative and pulled 23:15 ahead in the 34th minute. Zwickau lacked penetration in attack in this phase. The visitors also conceded too many turnovers and missed shots to put the home side under serious pressure again.
