For international soccer player Lukas Klostermann, a departure from RB Leipzig at the end of the season is apparently an option. How it goes on after the end of his contract in June 2024, "is actually still open," said the defender to the "Kicker". Although it is "known that I feel really comfortable in Leipzig," his focus is "first of all on the first half of the season. The 27-year-old had moved to Leipzig from Bochum in 2014. This season, Klostermann was set back by a muscle bundle tear and a protracted infection.
The contracts with Kevin Kampl and Yussuf Poulsen also run out. The duo has recently, however, repeatedly emphasized that they are currently discussing the topic of contract extension. Klostermann is now more reserved, which could speak for a departure at the end of the season. Especially since the fast defender is no longer a regular at RB. In the past Bundesliga season, he was only ten times in the starting eleven, from August to November he was out with a syndesmoseriss.
