Dynamo Dresden has defended its lead in the standings in the 3rd Football League. For this, a 1-0 (1:0) was enough on Saturday against Preußen Münster. The sixth home victory secured Manuel Schäffler with his goal in the eleventh minute. "The shortcoming was, we just left too much. We simply have to make the second goal," summed up Markus Anfang at the TV station Magentasport.
Compared to the 3:2 victory against Ulm in the previous week, captain Stefan Kutschke (thigh problems) was missing in the black-yellow starting eleven. Schäffler replaced him from the start and thus celebrates his first deployment from the start this season. A castling that paid off early on when the striker was able to easily slot in a ricochet in the Münster penalty area to take the lead. Until the final whistle, the SGD remained in front of 28,729 spectators in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium the game-dominating team, but failed several times to decide a one-sided game early.
Also in the second half, the guests hardly found their way into the game and remained without a clear scoring chance throughout the entire match. For their part, the Dresdeners failed three times to the brilliant SCP goalkeeper Johannes Schenk (47./57./82.).
