RB Leipzig will be looking to extend their record run of 16 unbeaten Bundesliga games across the season following the bitter 3-2 defeat in the Champions League against Juventus. Leipzig face 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday (3.30pm/DAZN).
"The lads know what to expect there. Heidenheim have developed further, but the corner kick and the free kick are still stylistic devices, as are goals from crosses. We need a really good performance in Heidenheim. We have to hold our own, fight back and take on tackles," said RB head coach Marco Rose.
While Leipzig have had an extra day to recover, Heidenheim go into the game with plenty of momentum following their 2-1 win in their European Cup debut in the Conference League against Olimpija Ljubljana. "We'll see two fresh teams," said Rose, as Heidenheim rotated a lot. Rose left his changes open, saying only that he had "a lot of players in good shape".
