Josefine Schaller has prematurely extended her contract with RB Leipzig's women's soccer team by a further year until June 30, 2025. The Bundesliga club made the announcement on Friday. The 21-year-old full-back, who tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in a friendly against Blau-Weiß Linz (8-0) in January, is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return to training after the summer. "Josefine is a very talented footballer. She is quick to act, with very good intuitive decision-making and helps us with her speed and dribbling strength on the flanks," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Football at RB.
