The Niners Chemnitz basketball team remains unbeaten in the Fiba Europe Cup this season. The club from Saxony got the better of CSM CSU Oradea by 95:79 (40:37) on Wednesday and so celebrated its eighth win on the international stage in its eighth game this season. The German club benefited from the unity of its team. Five players - DeAndre Lansdowne (20), Wesley van Beck (19), Kaza Kajami-Keane (15), Ousman Krubally (13) and Jeffery Garrett (10) - scored in double figures. Only Donatas Tarolis (28) and Nijal Pearson (22) managed to do so for the Romanians.
After an evenly poised start, the Niners initially took control and pulled away from 21:19 (8th) and 29:20 (12th) to 36:24 (15th). However, the cushion had already shrunk to three points by the break. The game threatened to tip in the home side's favor at 49:51 (25:51). However, Chemnitz regained control of the game and its opponents, stretched the 65:62 lead to 72:63 (33') before the final quarter and so broke the opposing side's morale. The visitors sealed victory thanks to their accuracy from beyond the arc. They made 13 of their 28 attempts. The Romanians were only able to put six of their 22 shots in the Chemnitz basket.
