RB Leipzig have signed young striker Yannick Eduardo to a professional contract. As the club announced on Tuesday, the teenager signed a contract valid until June 2027 on his 18th birthday.
"Yannick Eduardo is a promising talent with a lot of potential. He is a strong header with a good left foot and brings the corresponding goal threat as a center forward," said sporting director Rouven Schröder.
In the U19 Bundesliga, the Czech-born player with a Dutch passport scored seven goals in 13 games. Eduardo was particularly impressive in the Youth League, where he scored five goals in five games and played a major part in RB's youngsters reaching the knockout rounds for the first time.
Eduardo, who joined the club in July 2022 from NEC Nijmegen U17, trains regularly with the professionals. The 1.94-meter striker traveled to the winter camp in La Manga and was in the squad for both Bundesliga matches this year.
