Interim coach Zsolt Löw wins two Bundesliga matches in a row with RB Leipzig. His players are delighted and would like to work with him on a long-term basis.

Loïs Openda has overcome his goal crisis at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in the match at VfL Wolfsburg (3:2) and believes interim coach Zsolt Löw is partly responsible for this. "We talk a lot, he's smart and knows what he's doing," said Openda in a media session after the public training session in front of around 700 fans. And he would like to work with him in the long term.

"To be honest: I like this coach. He's really good. Of course I would like to continue working with him," said Openda. Before the cup semi-final against VfB Stuttgart (1-3), Löw had taken over the team from Marco Rose on an interim basis until the end of the season and declared from day one that he would definitely return to his post as chief strategist of the Red Bull Group's soccer department afterwards.

"Maybe, who knows, but I'm not Superman. We'll see what happens," said the Belgian international when asked whether he might be able to change his mind.

Routiniers train individually

Captain Willi Orban, Lukas Klostermann and Kevin Kampl trained individually ahead of the next of the five remaining Champions League qualifiers against promoted Holstein Kiel on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). National player David Raum carried out a measured training session due to ongoing muscular problems.

On the other hand, Assan Ouedraogo returned to full training with the team after recovering from a long-term injury. Antonio Nusa is set to be partially reintegrated this week.
