Leipzig coach Marco Rose does not consider his club to be one of the biggest names in European soccer. On the other hand, he says the club is particularly interesting for top talent.

For Marco Rose, RB Leipzig is not one of the really big soccer clubs. "I'm under no illusions there. There are bigger clubs than RB Leipzig, even if the number is decreasing, which means the next step for our players once again," said the Leipzig coach in an interview with the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung". As in previous years, the club had again lost quite a few key players to the competition in this transfer summer.

In Christopher Nkunku (FC Chelsea), Dominik Szoboszlai (FC Liverpool) and Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City), no less than three players moved to the English Premier League, Konrad Laimer joined champions FC Bayern. As a replacement, among others, the so far so convincing Xavi Simons (20) came on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. "I think we're a great stop for talents who want to get to the absolute top level, but also already play at a very high level," Rose explained.

Before the Bundesliga match this Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky) at promoted Darmstadt 98, Leipzig are only in sixth place in the table. The gap to league leader Bayer Leverkusen is five points. Asked where Leipzig would end up at the end of the season, Rose replied, "We are a club that always has big goals, but we shouldn't go crazy either."
