After the fourth successive defeat in the Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg's Maximilian Arnold is extremely frustrated. A reporter is feeling it.

Maximilian Arnold from VfL Wolfsburg reacted annoyed to a reporter's question after the 2:3 in the Bundesliga against RB Leipzig and barked at the interviewer. "Ever played soccer?" Arnold asked reporter Mario Rieker from the streaming service DAZN. After the latter answered in the affirmative, the VfL captain added: "How high?". Rieker had previously asked whether they could have defended the goals they conceded better - especially the goal from Leipzig's Xavi Simons to make it 2-0.

"Well, we don't need to have that debate. That's why I'm doing my job and you're doing yours, but I'm still allowed to ask the question," Rieker replied to Arnold.

Arnold: "You can't defend everything"

"We can defend some things, of course. But you can't defend everything," explained Wolfsburg's midfielder afterwards. "Sure, we should have thrown ourselves into it even more." Xavi Simons is a "very, very good player", Arnold continued. "Tell me someone who constantly defends everything with him."

Lower Saxony suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the Bundesliga against Leipzig and are now only twelfth in the table. Qualification for the European Cup is now a distant prospect for VfL.
