Third division soccer team Dynamo Dresden also lost their third game in a row and are in a results crisis. On Sunday, the top favorites for promotion lost 0:1 (0:0) at SC Verl. The goal of the day was scored by Marcel Benger (68th minute). The game in the Verler Sportclub-Arena was watched by 4217 spectators.

The first half was devoid of highlights. As in previous weeks, one reason for SGD's harmless attacking play was the lack of ball security in the build-up play. The visitors' best chance came from captain Stefan Kutschke (30'), tellingly from a set-piece. Saxony's play also lacked courage and determination after the break. Dresden were unable to counter Verl's surprise opening goal in the closing stages.
