The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau were unable to stop SG BBM Bietigheim's winning run. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges conceded a clear 21:40 (12:17) defeat against the unbeaten leaders on Wednesday.

Kelly Dulfer and Kaba Gassama Cissokho played the biggest part in the visitors' success with five goals each, while Jenny Behrend, Karolina Kudlacz-Gloc and Sofia Hvenfelt each scored four times. Ema Hrvatin scored the most goals for Zwickau with eight and Diana Magnusdottir scored six times.

The hosts were only able to keep up with the home favorites in the first 20 minutes. Bietigheim then pulled away from 11:10 and 14:10 (24') to 29:14 by the 45th minute, breaking the morale of the BSV players. In the final spell, the championship favorites made the most of their physical and individual superiority against an increasingly flagging opponent. Zwickau was unable to contain the defeat.
