"Sandstone and Music" festival kicks off the season

The "Sandstone and Music" festival begins its 32nd season this Saturday. Under the motto "Time Travel", 22 events are planned, the organizers announced on Tuesday. Hinrich Alpers is the new artistic director. The opening of the festival traditionally takes place in the village church in Lohmen. The Wratislawa Chamber Orchestra will kick off the festival. The "Teamplayer" program also offers a new format this year: Experienced artists form a small ensemble and perform with colleagues they have never played with before. The "Sandstone and Music" festival is represented by many venues in Saxon Switzerland and offers a symbiosis between art and nature.
