The AfD is relying on continuity in the new state parliament in Saxony. Party leader Jörg Urban was re-elected as parliamentary group leader at the constituent meeting in Siebenlehn. According to the parliamentary group, he received 36 votes in favor, while two MPs voted against him. The previous Parliamentary Secretary Jan Zwerg was also re-elected.
