Police in Saxony are targeting seven suspects for anti-Semitic hate postings. They are six men aged between 23 and 67 and a 42-year-old woman, according to the State Criminal Police Office. They are said to have published posts with anti-Semitic content that denied or mocked the Holocaust. All of them are being investigated for incitement to hatred.
German law enforcement authorities took action against hate postings on the internet in almost all federal states this morning. According to the Federal Criminal Police Office, the focus of the day of action was on postings with anti-Semitic content. There were 127 police actions, more than 50 homes were searched in over 90 investigations and numerous suspects were questioned.
The actions took place in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.
