The new Stadtforum Dresden opens its doors at the end of March. Visitors can explore the modern administrative headquarters and experience how the city's employees will work here in the future.

The doors of the new Dresden City Forum will open to the public for the first time on March 29. From midday, visitors will be able to explore the new municipal administration building for themselves or take part in a guided tour, as announced by the state capital.

Mayor Dirk Hilbert will open the new building opposite the town hall at 12 noon. This will be followed by several program items. As part of the "Open Town Hall", the departments will be presenting themselves at around 50 stands. The city council groups are also represented on site. Outside, the fire department, police authority and the central technical services department will be presenting their technology. An orchestral concert and a dance performance are also planned - the restaurant and café in the Stadtforum are open.

The two divisions "Urban Development, Construction, Transport and Real Estate" and "Environment and Climate, Law and Order" with their offices as well as the Office for Economic Development are moving into the five floors with around 1,000 workstations. During the refurbishment of the New Town Hall, the Lord Mayor and parts of his department will also use the City Forum. According to the city, the new building cost around 132 million euros.
