The successful figure skating coach Jutta Müller will be remembered with an ice show in Chemnitz today (18:00). The ice sports center will also bear her name in future. A nameplate will be unveiled before the show. Performances in pairs skating, ice dancing and synchronized skating by athletes from Chemnitz, Dresden and Berlin, among others, can then be experienced on the ice, according to information from the city of Chemnitz. Two-time Olympic champion Katarina Witt and Gabriele Seyfert, the first female world champion in figure skating for the GDR and Müller's daughter, will speak to the guests.
According to the city, all 3800 seats for the show "A tribute to Jutta Müller" were booked up within a very short time. Müller died at the beginning of November at the age of 94. She was the most successful figure skating coach in the world.
