Several hundred supporters of the right-wing extremist movement Pegida marched through Dresden's city center on Monday evening - accompanied by counter-protesters. According to a police spokesperson, there were no incidents. The gathering had been registered. Several hundred people were counted both on the Pediga side and among the counter-demonstrators. The police did not provide any further details - such as the motto of the Pegida demonstration - for the time being. Pegida stands for "Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the Occident".
