Faction leader Berndt with a black eye
Berndt entered the Potsdam state parliament on Tuesday with a black eye. According to his own account, he was surrounded by "Antifa people" as he arrived in his car on Saturday. They had covered his car with stickers and let the air out of the tires. He then briefly left the car. When he tried to get back into his car, someone "slammed the car door on his head".
AfD in Saxony demands clarification
The AfD in the Saxon state parliament is calling for a special meeting of the interior committee on the police operation at the federal party conference. A good 10,000 people demonstrated against the AfD there on Saturday, with the party conference starting late. AfD interior politician Sebastian Wippel said that they wanted to clarify how the attacks on AfD leaders such as Alice Weidel and Hans-Christoph Berndt could have happened.
