Saxony's state returning officer Martin Richter emphasizes the importance of the European elections and calls on citizens to vote.

Ten days before the European elections, Saxony's state returning officer Martin Richter has asked citizens to exercise their right to vote. In a statement issued by the State Statistical Office on Thursday, he pointed out the great importance of the European Parliament. "Voters should clearly mark their vote on the ballot paper by placing a cross in one of the printed circles," said Richter. This makes the work of the electoral boards easier.

Every eligible voter has one vote in the European elections on June 9. In Saxony, 34 parties and other political associations are on the ballot paper. Their first ten candidates are also listed there with their respective occupation and place of residence.
