Emotional momentum from RB Leipzig ahead of Bochum game

RB Leipzig have gathered some emotional momentum ahead of their home opener against VfL Bochum this Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) in the Bundesliga. Marco Rose's team trained in front of several hundred fans at Cottaweg today. Only Eljif Elmas and El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who have been struggling recently, completed individual sessions but are expected to return to team training at the end of this week. Christoph Baumgartner also had extra training after his minor knee operation and Xaver Schlager after his cruciate ligament surgery.

After the 4:1 win in the first-round clash with Rot-Weiss Essen in the DFB Cup, RB will start their league campaign against Bochum. The Saxons should be warned, as Bochum took a point from their last appearance in the Red Bull Arena last October with a 0-0 draw. RB won the second-round game 4-1 in the Ruhrpott.
