National team players David Raum and Joshua Kimmich are great pals. However, Raum from Leipzig doesn't begrudge the Bayern captain the championship in his own stadium.

RB Leipzig international David Raum is determined to prevent his buddy Joshua Kimmich from winning the Bundesliga title on the upcoming matchday. "He's coming here to Leipzig with Bayern as captain with a great starting position," said Raum ahead of the clash with Munich on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). "I just want to crash his party here."

After the disastrous 4-0 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt, Leipzig need every point in the fight for the Champions League. "Everyone should think that we're going to put everything into this game and not let Bayern have their party here in our living room." Bayern need just one win to win their 34th title, while Leipzig are two points behind in fourth place.

Löw effect fizzles out?

After a good start for new coach Zsolt Löw, the effect of the draw against Kiel and the defeat in Frankfurt seems to have already fizzled out. "At the end of the day, it's not a question of the coach," said Raum. "It's a question of the team, the attitude of each individual player. Everyone has to ask themselves whether they really have the right attitude here, whether they are really pursuing the right goals."

Leipzig no longer see themselves as Bayern chasers. A shake-up in the summer should be the start of a more successful period. "We have to make sure that we are all honest with each other. We have to make sure that we regroup," said Raum. The 27-year-old, who has missed the last few games through injury, is one of the leading players at RB and is expected to form the core of the new team.
