The RB Leipzig women's soccer team have lost touch with the Bundesliga leaders. Coach Jonas Stephan's team lost their duel with Bayer Leverkusen 0:1 (0:0) and slipped to sixth place with 16 points. Third place, which is enough to qualify for the Champions League, is now seven points away. Kristin Kögel scored the winning goal for Bayer in the 81st minute.
Leipzig remained without a win again after a 0-0 draw at SGS Essen. The team continues to lack consistency. Leipzig's last two wins in a row came at the end of September, followed by heavy setbacks in Wolfsburg (0:5) and Freiburg (1:4).
