RB Leipzig without Xaver Schlager until the end of March

RB Leipzig will be without Xaver Schlager for at least another six weeks. The Austrian had to undergo a minor operation at the beginning of the week due to persistent knee problems. The midfielder is not expected back in the team until after the international break, which lasts until March 27.

After tearing his cruciate ligament last May, Leipzig's difference-maker returned to the team shortly before Christmas and started twice in five appearances. He suffered another injury during the winter break and is therefore out for a long time again.
