Werder Bremen can plan to play Marvin Ducksch in the away game at RB Leipzig. The attacker is ready for the first game of the new year following a minor thyroid operation. "Marvin hasn't missed that much, so he's fit," said Werder coach Ole Werner ahead of the clash with the Champions League participants on Sunday (3.30pm/DAZN).
Justin Njinmah is also expected to be in the squad. However, the speedy striker is not yet in contention to start after his ankle injury and a few weeks off.
Werder are starting the second part of the season with great confidence after their strong performances before the winter break. "We're confident and trust ourselves to play a good game. And if you play well, you can win every game in the Bundesliga," said Werner.
