Following the partial collapse of the Carola Bridge in Dresden, Saxon bridges along federal and state roads are being scrutinized. Preparations begin in Bad Schandau.
The partial collapse of Dresden's Carola Bridge has resulted in special inspections of bridges throughout Saxony. The first traffic restrictions are in place in Bad Schandau and Dresden.
It remains unclear why the bridge in Dresden collapsed. Generally speaking, bridges in Germany are considered safe. Nevertheless, there is still a need for renovation.
