The BSG Chemie Leipzig has surprisingly won a test match against the Bundesliga soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt. The regional league club defeated coach Dino Toppmöller's team 2-1 (0-0) in front of 4999 spectators at its home Alfred Kunze Sportpark on Friday. The scorers for the hosts from Leipzig were Florian Kirstein (47th) and Timo Mauer (53rd). For the guests met Noel Futkeu (83.).
The Leipziger played courageously on. That brought them some scoring chances and a solid half-time score of 0:0. Only two minutes after the restart then the surprise: Kirstein scored to 1:0. Only six minutes then also Timo Mauer scored the 2:0. In the 83rd minute, the guests from Frankfurt only managed through Futkeu the connecting goal.
The two teams are connected by a fan friendship that has lasted for 20 years. In addition, Eintracht supported Chemie Leipzig with 100,000 euros, helping the fourth-division club to build floodlight poles.
