Dynamo Dresden's new finance director Stephan Zimmermann wants to act sustainably

Dynamo's Dresden's new finance director Stephan Zimmermann wants to "not do crazy things" in the future. The new chief financial officer emphasized this on Tuesday during his official introduction at the third-division soccer club. "We want to act sustainably, further expand our equity and develop a strategy for the medium-term future," said Zimmermann, who most recently worked for second-division club SV Wehen Wiesbaden.

However, he has been a Dynamo member for 17 years. He will introduce himself to the team on Wednesday. Official start of service was already on October 1. "I was born here. I'm extremely happy to be back at my hometown club. I feel as a Dresdner, there is the Dynamo DNA somehow in the blood with it," said Zimmermann and added: "In this position, there were always new faces, so now we want to get continuity pure."

After the decision of the supervisory board, the sports community now has a structure with three managing directors. David Fischer took up his post as the new managing director of communications already on August 1. Ralf Becker continues to act as managing director sports. "We chose Stephan Zimmermann because of his competencies and not least because of his black-and-yellow heart," commented Supervisory Board Vice Chairman Michael Ziegenbalg. "The process was very elaborate, we had a total of 76 applications for both positions."
