The handball players of SC DHfK Leipzig have celebrated the second win of the season in the Bundesliga in the seventh game. The team of coach Runar Sigtryggsson prevailed on Sunday at TBV Lemgo Lippe without any problems with 28:22 (14:8) and now stands at 5:9 points. Best thrower of the SC DHfK was Viggo Kristjansson with nine goals.
The Leipzigers got off to a good start. Goalkeeper Domenico Ebner shone in the first ten minutes with four saves, and in attack the agile Kristjansson trumped big. The Icelander contributed five goals to the 6:3 lead. As a result, the Lemgo team increased its defensive intensity considerably. The guests took the fight, however, and set off with a 4:0 run shortly before the break to 14:8.
Until 21:14 (44.), SC DHfK had the game safely under control, before the hosts, where goalkeeper Urh Kastelic became more and more a factor, shortened with a 4:0 run to 18:21 (48.). However, the Leipzigers kept a cool head in this critical phase, countered with three goals in a row and thus broke TBV's resistance.
