The State Center for Political Education is organizing 60 election forums for citizens for the state elections on 1 September in Saxony.

The State Center for Political Education wants to make it easier for citizens to make their decision in the state elections on 1 September with election forums. Until then, 60 events are planned throughout Saxony, the organizers announced in Dresden on Tuesday. The election forums will kick off on June 18 in Rodewisch and Delitzsch. They will continue after the summer break from July 29 to August 29. Citizens will be able to talk to the direct candidates of the most promising parties.

"The aim of the election forums is to enable people in Saxony to make a competent and informed election decision and to encourage them to get involved in a democratic society themselves," it said. Seven parties were invited to the election forums: CDU, AfD, Left, Greens, SPD, FDP and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW).
