Every summer, the Ibug street art festival transforms an industrial wasteland into a temporary art exhibition. This time, the artists are coming to Riesa.

The Ibug street art festival is making a guest appearance in Riesa this year. From August 9, artists from all over the world will be creating graffiti, installations, sculptures and multimedia art in the former Muskator factories. The festival grounds will open on two weekends - from August 30 to September 1 and from September 6 to 9. Advance ticket sales have begun, the organizers announced on Monday. In addition, crowdfunding is still underway to finance materials and helpers are being sought for set-up and dismantling.

The Ibug Festival is being held for the 19th time. It transforms industrial wastelands into temporary art exhibitions. Last year, the festival stopped off in Leipzig - and set a record with almost 20,000 visitors.
