Start of the ice skating season in Saxony

In Saxony, the ice skating season begins. In Dresden, for example, the preseason began on October 1 in the training ice rink, and the main season starts on October 23 with the opening of the outdoor speed skating rink, according to Joynext Arena. Ice sports enthusiasts can also get active again at the Chemnitz Ice Sports Center since October 1. In the district of Görlitz, people have the opportunity to practice ice sports on 1800 square meters in the Jonsdorf ice sports hall from October to March. The Crimmitschau artificial ice stadium (Zwickau district) has also already opened its doors. The artificial ice stadium Schönheide (Erzgebirgskreis) in the area of the former outdoor pool also started in October in the ice skating season.

In November then also open the ice rinks in the castle Freudenstein in Freiberg (county Mittelsachsen), in the Hains leisure center in Tharandt/Freital (county Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge) and on the Dresden concert square Weißer Hirsch.
