The former president of Dynamo Dresden, Holger Scholze, has a new honorary position. The 53-year-old has been elected as the new president of the Dresden racing club. His term of office will initially run until 2027, as the club announced.
Scholze was president of the third-division soccer club in the Saxon state capital for six years until the fall of 2024. He resigned last November following internal disagreements.
"I am delighted that the members of the racing club have placed their trust in me and I am confident that I can take the tradition-steeped DRV 1890 forward," said the financial entrepreneur. "I hope to be able to gain supporters for us through my extensive professional and private network."
