One stays longer, one leaves: SC DHfK Leipzig is already tinkering with the squad for the coming season. One Norwegian has to leave after five years.

Bundesliga handball club SC DHfK Leipzig has made two important personnel decisions. The contract with pivot Moritz Preuss, which expires next summer, has been extended until 2027. Goalkeeper Kristian Saeveras, on the other hand, will leave the Saxons in June next year after five seasons.

"We are very satisfied with Moritz's performance and he has become an important player in our team, both athletically and personally," said coach Rúnar Sigtryggsson on the extension with the 29-year-old Preuss. The former international moved to Leipzig from Magdeburg in the summer of 2022.

Saeveras' new club is still undecided. The Norwegian already agreed with the club in the summer not to extend his contract. Saeveras currently forms the Leipzig goalkeeping team with Domenico Ebner.
