RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose wants to talk to the club management about extending his contract, which expires in 2025, during the summer break. "When we talk about contracts, it's important for me to know what ambitions we have, where we want to go and what the squad looks like. Do we have another big shake-up or will the team stay together?" said the 47-year-old in an interview with pay-TV channel Sky.
Rose currently has the best record of any Leipzig coach since the club's promotion with 2.04 points after 82 competitive matches. But he doesn't want to dwell on that. "If the statistics didn't look like that, then maybe I wouldn't be here anymore. That's always the other part of soccer. There's more to it than the head coach," said Rose. He wants to avoid another major shake-up at RB Leipzig in the next transfer window at all costs.
