A 67-year-old participant in a classic car race in Riesa (Meißen district) has died in an accident. According to the Dresden police department, he was riding a motorcycle and collided with another motorcyclist (57) while overtaking. Both two-wheelers veered off the road to the right and came to rest on an embankment. One motorcycle caught fire.

Emergency services immediately attended to the two casualties, but the 67-year-old died of his serious injuries at the scene of the accident, it was reported. The other driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
